العلاقة بين ارتفاع سكر الدم واستقلاب البوتاسيوم لدى مرضى السكري من النوع الثاني في العراق: دراسة حالة وضابطة

داء السكري من النوع الثاني هو مرض أيضي متزايد الانتشار، ومن المتوقع أن يؤثر على نحو 693 مليـــــون شخص بحلول عام 2045. يرتبط فرط سكر الدم باضطرابــــــات فـي أيض الشوارد، ولا سيما البوتاسيـــــــوم .هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف العلاقة بين مستويات البوتاسيوم في المصل وفرط سكر الدم، إضافـــــــــة إلى المضاعفات الأخرى لدى مرضى داء السكري من النوع الثاني. شملت الدراسة 100 مريضًا بداء السكــــري من النوع الثاني (50 رجلًا و50 امرأة)، تراوحت أعمارهم بين 40 و75 عامًا. كما تم اختيار مجموعة ضابطــــــة مماثلة للمرضى من حيث العمر وعدد المشاركين. تم قياس كل من إجمالي البوتاسيوم في المصل ومستـــــــــوى الغلوكوز الصيامي في المصل باستخدام كواشف جاهزة . أظهرت النتائــــــــج انخفاضًا معنويًــــــا في مستويات البوتاسيوم في المصل لدى مرضى داء السكري مــــــن النوع الثاني مقارنــــــــة بالأصحــــاء (3.493±0.038مليمول/لتر) مقابل ( 4.268±0.05 مليمول/لتـــر)؛( P = 0.0001) كما أظهرت المريضات انخفاضًا معنويًا في مستويات البوتاسيوم مقارنة بالمجموعة الضابطـــة (3.502±0.065 مليمـــــول/لتر مقابل 4.236±0.069 مليمول/لتر؛( P = 0.0001)، وكذلك الحال لدى المرضى الذكور (3.484±0.043 ) مليمول/لتر مقابل( 4.30±0.073 مليمول/لتر)؛ (P = 0.0001) بالإضافة إلى ذلك، وُجد ارتباط سلبي قوي بين ارتفـــــــــــاع مستويات الغلوكوز وانخفاض تركيز البوتاسيوم لدى المرضى، حيث بلغت قيمة الانحدار 0.88 مـــــــــــع دلالة إحصائية عاليـــــــــة (P < 0.001). كشفت نتائج الدراسة عن وجود علاقة ارتباط سلبية قوية بين ارتفاع مستويات الغلوكوز وانخفاض تركيز البوتاسيوم لدى مرضى داء السكري من النوع الثاني.
