Abstract

This research examines the nominative nouns (al-marfū‘āt) as discussed by Al-Balkī in his Hāshiyah ‘alā Tafsīr al-Bayḍāwī—one of the many commentaries written on Al-Bayḍāwī's exegesis, which has garnered extensive glosses and critical notes.Al-Balkī presents diverse grammatical perspectives in his commentary to elucidate Qur’anic expressions. These grammatical discussions are scattered throughout his work. This study aims to compile the most significant grammatical inquiries related to nouns—particularly those in the nominative case—as addressed in his Hāshiyah, and to examine his method of presenting grammatical issues. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to analyze these topics
