Spatial distribution patterns of the population in Al-Hafriya district forthe year 2025

Abstract

This research aims to utilize quantitative geographical indicators to reveal the nature of the distribution of settlement centers in the Al-Hafriya sub -district. Using several statistical methods and modern techniques, the researcher was able to represent the data on a geographical map. A number of rural settlement centers were selected based on a population size of 65 in habitants, represented by a (vacant) village.                                                      

The research reached several conclusions, the most important of which are:

1 - The spatial distribution of the population in the rural settlement centers was not ideal. Population distribution in these centers is a dynamic process with varying causes and results from one place to another.

2 -Indicators and measures of the spatial distribution of the population in the rural settlement centers of the Al-Hafriya sub-district are among the methods used to describe the nature of the spatial distribution of any specific geographical area. The spatial distribution of the rural settlement centers has adopted spatial patterns as a result of the interaction of several natural and human factors. Among the most important recommendations or proposals that emerged from the research are:

1 - Addressing the causes of disparities in the spatial distribution of the population in order to achieve a balance between human and natural resources and to work towards the possibility of achieving sustainable development policies.

2 - Implementing the principle of spatial balance in the services provided to the residents of rural settlement centers on a geographical level in order to achieve effective utilization of these services according to needs and to a relatively equal extent among these centers ..
