Spatial analysis of service characteristics and standards to identify the dense functional area in the city of Fallujah

Abstract

This study, being a field-based, analytical, statistical, and quantitative approach, aims to identify, analyze, and define the regional and intrinsic components, characteristics, and intrinsic factors, including economic and service-related ones, of the city of Fallujah. It also examines the dimensions of the impact of these factors on the city's growth, its functions, and its influence on its surroundings. Subsequently, the city is studied and analyzed from its inception through its historical growth and development, and its internal structures are analyzed. This is important for understanding the nature of the relationship, interdependence, and influence of its surroundings in terms of the functional role the city plays and how it connects with its regions. This will be achieved by using mathematical methods and economic activities that affect the city of Fallujah, applying them with precise statistical accuracy and a complete description to give a clear result that achieves the goal and objective, in order to plan for growth beyond the goal and to enable us to diagnose the reality of the regional relationship between the parts of the region and the city. This relationship is to determine whether it is a purely administrative and functional relationship or a functional relationship that transcends the legal framework. The study also aims to provide a suitable geographical basis for planning and executive bodies that explains the reality of the functional and service activity that the city of Fallujah provides to its densely populated region, in addition to spreading the spirit of functional and administrative activity and identifying areas of need in the cities of the densely populated administrative region to alleviate the functional pressure on the city of Fallujah. The analysis was then recorded and prepared, encompassing a comprehensive functional and service-oriented approach, and early developmental and spatial analysis. This means that the material and spatial background and planning have evolved, with time being a crucial factor in order to transcend and complete the spirit of the city, which is its central core, and to increase services for its inhabitants. The importance of the city of Fallujah has been proven by its location overlooking the banks of the Euphrates River. Its ethnic and cultural history and its role in socio-economic development contribute to the city's function and benefit it through the provision of basic services such as healthcare and addressing malnutrition. It is a center of agriculture in the region and an important part of the economic and social development of other administrative units.
