Generic and Specific Features of Commentaries on Al-Zamakhshari’s (ca. 1143 A.D.) Grammatical Parsing or the Al-Mufassal

Abstract

Al-Zamakhshari’s book Al-Mufassal was carefully studied by modern and later scholars, some of whom explained its text, and some of them explained its verses. These explanations have a set of methodological and explanatory features, including general features that all commentators shared, and some that are specific to each commentator. This study will show the most prominent of these features, and stand on the most important results.
