Abstract

Diminutives are undoubtedly significant widely tackled forms in Arabic language, an area that has been extensively and comprehensively investigated by Arab late and modern linguists. This paper, accordingly, sheds light on diminutives as lexical forms of language by surveying, describing, and accounting for the importance of these forms, how they have developed, and how they are formed, and how to use them. The paper, also, draws on the verb form and type, the morphemic levels, and the phonological aspects affecting the formation of diminutives in Arabic.
