Learning Engagement Among Science Undergraduates (Physics) in Colleges of Basic Education

This paper investigates learning engagement as a strategy among science undergraduates (majored in physics) in the colleges of basic education. To do so, 217 second and third-year undergraduates of Sumer, Missan, and Wasit universities were randomly selected as subjects of study. A descriptive research design was followed in the analysis in order to find variables. The analysis involved statistical computations and the sample subjects have been T-tested. The study found that there are statistically significant differences in learning engagement among second-year undergraduates, whereas there are no statistically significant differences following gender (m/f). The study, therefore, recommends that state-of-the-art learning and teaching techniques be followed in class management
