Abstract

Industrial activity has a significant impact in providing many opportunities for the unemployed for their work in various activities, including industrial The study aims to highlight the role of small industries in alleviating unemployment rates in Iraq for the period 2000- 2018, and relied on the statistical analytical descriptive methodology to analyse and disaggregate data and measure the direction of the relationship between the number of small industrial enterprises and the unemployed.  The study dealt with two main themes: The realities of small industrial enterprises in Iraq for the period 2000-2018, while the second devoted to the spatial variation of the number of small industrial enterprises and the unemployed (male and female). The study also drew several conclusions and made appropriate recommendations to reduce the worsening unemployment rate.
