Traumatic Events and childrens Drawing: Their Psychological and Social Dimenions.

Abstract

    This research aimed to identify common problems among children exposed to stressful traumatic events through their drawings, to understand the psychological and social behavioral problems, and to assess the impact of these events and their negative repercussions on the children. It also explored how these issues are identified through their drawings and free expression. Given the importance of this age group, where children are more affected by stress than adults because they are still developing and unable to cope with it and the threatening external world, it is crucial to study the effects of life on artistic expression. Therefore, this research sought to highlight the means of expressing stress (drawing) and to clarify methods of addressing it. The research concluded with a set of findings and recommendations
